It therefore accorded high priority to the conclusions and recommendations of the Fourth Ministerial Symposium on the Industrialization of the Least Developed Countries and welcomed UNIDO’s decision to focus its biennium programmes on the outcome of the Symposium.

وستعقد الندوة الوزارية الرابعة ﻷقل البلدان نموا في فيينا في الفترة من ٢٧ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر إلى ٥ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٩٧.

The conclusions and recommendations adopted at the recently held Fourth Ministerial Symposium on the Industrialization of the Least Developed Countries would be submitted to the current Conference session.
٨٤ - واستطرد قائلا ان الاستنتاجات والتوصيات التي اعتمدت أثناء الندوة الوزارية الرابعة المعنية بتصنيع أقل البلدان نموا والمعقودة مؤخرا سوف تعرض على دورة المؤتمر الحالية .

The CHAIRMAN drew the Committee’s attention to the following draft resolution, which had been modified to take account of the conclusions and recommendations of the Fourth LDC Ministerial Symposium, with a proposed annex setting out those conclusions and recommendations:
٤ - الرئيس : استرعى انتباه اللجنة إلى مشروع القرار التالي ، الذي عدﱢل من أجل مراعاة استنتاجات وتوصيات الندوة الوزارية الرابعة المعنية بتصنيع أقل البلدان نموا ، مع مرفــق مقتــرح يبيــن هــذه الاستنتاجـات والتوصيات :

Mr. BUCH (Germany) said his delegation could not subscribe to the request for restoration of activities that had been discontinued, and to the sharp criticism of UNIDO contained in the conclusions and recommendations of the Fourth LDC Ministerial Symposium.
١٧ - السيد بوخ )ألمانيا( : قال إن وفــده لا يستطيع أن يقبل الاقتراح الخاص بإعادة أنشطة قد أوقفت ولا الانتقاد الحاد الموجه إلى اليونيدو في استنتاجات وتوصيات الندوة الوزارية الرابعة المعنية بتصنيع أقل البلدان نموا .

Mr. FRANCK (Luxembourg) agreed, saying that in a number of places the conclusions and recommendations of the Fourth LDC Ministerial Symposium were in contradiction with the Business Plan. It was not acceptable to bring the Business Plan into question.
١٨ - السيد فرانـك )لكسمبرغ( : اتفـق مـع ذلك ، قائلا إن استنتاجات وتوصيات الندوة الوزارية الرابعة المعنية بتصنيع أقل البلدان نموا متناقضة في عدد من المواضع مــع خطــة اﻷعمال ، وإن التشكيك في خطة اﻷعمال ليس مقبولا .

(c) As a regular feature of UNIDO’s LDC programme, the Fourth Ministerial Symposium on the Industrialization of the Least Developed Countries was held in Vienna from 26 November to 5 December 1997 in tandem with the seventh session of the General Conference.
)ج( كجانب معتاد من برنامج اليونيدو الخاص بأقل البلدان نموا ، عقدت الندوة الوزارية الرابعة حول تصنيع أقل البلدان نموا في فيينا من ٦٢ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر الى ٥ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ٧٩٩١ ، بالتوازي مع الدورة السابعة للمؤتمر العام .

4. Capacity-building in industrial information services: Assessment of the needs for the establishment of an effective information networking among enterprises at national, regional and international levels was carried out in 1997 in 18 African and five Asian least developed countries as a direct response to the recommendations of the Third LDC Ministerial Symposium.
٤ - بناء القدرات في ميدان خدمات المعلومات الصناعية : وقد أجري في عام ١٩٩٧ تقدير للاحتياجات الخاصة بإنشاء شبكات معلومات فعالة تربط بين المنشآت على الصعيد الوطني واﻹقليمي والدولي في ١٨ بلدا افريقيا و ٥ بلدان آسيوية من أقل البلدان نموا ، كاستجابة مباشرة لتوصيات الندوة الوزارية الثالثة المعنية بأقل البلدان نموا .

4. Capacity-building in industrial information services: Assessment of the needs for establishing effective information networking among enterprises at national, regional and international levels was carried out in 1997 in 18 African and 5 Asian least developed countries as a direct response to the recommendations of the third Least Developed Countries Ministerial Symposium.
٤ - بناء القدرات في ميدان خدمات المعلومات الصناعية : وقد أجري في عام ٧٩٩١ تقدير للاحتياجات الخاصة بانشاء شبكات معلومات فعالة تربط بين المنشآت على الصعيد الوطني والاقليمي والدولي في ٨١ بلدا افريقيا و ٥ بلدان آسيوية من أقل البلدان نموا ، كاستجابة مباشرة لتوصيات الندوة الوزارية الثالثة المعنية بأقل البلدان نموا .

8. In the spirit of inter-agency cooperation as well as in response to the recommendations of the Fourth Ministerial Symposium, UNIDO will cooperate closely with the World Trade Organization (WTO) in follow-up activities and implementation of the recommendations of the WTO High-Level Meeting on LDCs held in Geneva in October 1997.
٨ - وانطلاقا من روح التعاون بين الوكالات ، واستجابة لتوصيات الندوة الوزارية الرابعة ، سوف تتعاون اليونيدو تعاونا وثيقا مع منظمة التجارة العالمية في أنشطة متابعة توصيات اجتماع منظمة التجارة العالمية الرفيع المستوى بشأن أقل البلدان نموا ، الذي عقد في جنيف في تشرين اﻷول/أكتوبر ٧٩٩١ وفي تنفيذ تلك التوصيات .

56. In response to the recommendations of the third Ministerial Symposium and UNIDO General Conference resolution GC.6/Res.8, UNIDO carried out in 1997 a needs assessment project in 18 African and seven Asian least developed countries with a view to establishing an effective information network in these countries.
٥٦ - واستجابة لتوصيات الندوة الدراسية الوزارية الثالثة وللقرار رقم ٨ الذي اتخذه المؤتمر العام السادس لليونيدو، اضطلعت اليونيدو في عام ١٩٩٧ بمشروع لتقييم الاحتياجات في ١٨ بلدا أفريقيا وسبعة بلدان آسيوية من أقل البلدان نموا، بغية إقامة شبكة فعالة للمعلومات في هذه البلدان.
