I have the honour to transmit herewith the text of the Declaration adopted by the Ministers of the Least Developed Countries at their Eighth Annual Meeting, held at United Nations Headquarters on 28 September 1998 (see annex).

Referring to the Declaration of the Ministers of the Least Developed Countries adopted at the beginning of the current session of the General Assembly, he stressed the need for the full integration of the least developed countries in the world trading system through, inter alia, their timely accession to WTO.
