23. The Mission to South Africa was informed that the GNU was embarking on a new policy concerning land in order to undo the damage of decades of forced removals, racial segregation and the denial of land rights.
٣٢- وأعلمت البعثة إلى جنوب أفريقيا أن حكومة الوحدة الوطنية قد شرعت في تطبيق سياسة جديدة بشأن اﻷراضي بغية محو أضرار عقود من الترحيل القسري، والتمييز العنصري، وإنكار الحقوق في اﻷراضي.

However, the overwhelming view of those consulted during the Mission to South Africa was that such actions, useful as they were in the past, are now detrimental to the Government's effort to promote the social and economic rights of the people.
