62. Countries are continuing to strengthen their capacity to monitor the situation of children, the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the achievement of the goals of the special session and other child-related goals through the upgrading of their data collection and monitoring tools and systems and the establishment of independent watchdog organizations.
