(a) To take the necessary measures to prohibit the import and export of movable cultural property (i) which has been stolen in the other State Party or (ii) which has been illicitly exported from the other State Party;

(b) (a) To take the necessary measures to prohibit the acquisition of movable cultural property which has been imported contrary to the prohibitions resulting from the implementation of subparagraph (a) above and trafficking in such goods;

The workshop was intended to formulate recommendations aimed at implementing a resolution on the model treaty for the prevention of crimes against movable cultural property and a resolution on the use of automated information exchange to combat crimes against movable cultural property, adopted by the Eighth United Nations Congress on the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders, which was held in 1990.
وكان الغرض من حلقة العمل وضع توصيات تهدف الى تنفيذ قرار يتعلق بالمعاهدة النموذجية لمنع الجرائم في حق الممتلكات الثقافية القابلة للنقل وقرار بشأن استعمال تبادل البيانات اﻵلي لمكافحة الجرائم في حق الممتلكات الثقافية القابلة للنقل، اعتمدهما مؤتمر الامم المتحدة الثامن لمنع الجريمة ومعاملة المجرمين، المعقود في عام ١٩٩٠.

In that connection, the feasibility of creating a comprehensive database that would collect and disseminate information about stolen cultural objects, as well as the promotion of mechanisms for recovery and return of stolen movable cultural property, could be explored.
وفي ذلك الصدد، يمكن استكشاف مدى امكانية إنشاء قاعدة بيانات شاملة تُجمع وتعمّم بواسطتها المعلومات المتعلقة بالقطع الثقافية المسروقة، وكذلك مدى إمكانية التشجيع على إنشاء آليات لاسترداد ما سرق من ممتلكات ثقافية منقولة وإعادته.
