The Iranian Committee for the Standardization of Geographical Names, led by the National Cartographic Centre, is in charge of directing activities in the area of the production, distribution and standard use of correct geographical names at the national and regional levels.
وتعد اللجنة الإيرانية لتوحيد الأسماء الجغرافية التي يقودها المركز الوطني لرسم الخرائط مسؤولة عن توجيه الأنشطة في مجال وضع الأسماء الجغرافية الصحيحة ونشرها واستخدامها بشكل موحد، وذلك على المستويين الوطني والإقليمي.

34. Also at the 4th plenary meeting, Gholam Reza Fallahi, GIS Department of the National Cartographic Center, Islamic Republic of Iran, presented a paper entitled " Implementation of Web Geo-services " (E/CONF.100/IP.13).
34 - وفي الجلسة العامة الرابعة أيضا، قدم غلام رضا فلاحي، من إدارة نظام المعلومات الجغرافية التابعة للمركز الوطني لرسم الخرائط في جمهورية إيران الإسلامية، ورقة بعنوان " إسداء الخدمات الجغرافية الشبكية " (E/CONF.100/IP.13).

It was particularly noted that Burkina Faso was considering a toponymy course for francophone West Africa in 2008 and that the Islamic Republic of Iran held regular training courses in toponymy organized by both the Toponymic Committee and the National Cartographic Centre.
ولوحظ على وجه الخصوص أن بوركينا فاسو تعتزم تنظيم دورة دراسية بشأن الأسماء الجغرافية وأصولها من أجل بلدان غرب أفريقيا الناطقة بالفرنسية في عام 2008، وأن جمهورية إيران الإسلامية تعقد بصفة منتظمة دورات تدريبية بشأن الأسماء الجغرافية وأصولها تنظمها كل من اللجنة المعنية بالأسماء الجغرافية وأصولها والمركز الوطني لرسم الخرائط.

Using the recent earthquake on 11 August 2012 as a case study, and the GPS-based analysis of the crustal deformation in north-west Islamic Republic of Iran, he presented the need for a proper spatial infrastructure for sustainable development and the role and activities of the National Cartographic Centre in disaster management.
فارتكز على الزلزال الأخير الذي وقع في 11 آب/أغسطس 2012 كدراسة حالة، وعلى تحليل التشوه القشري في شمال غرب جمهورية إيران الإسلامية بالاستناد إلى النظام العالمي لتحديد المواقع، ليشرح الحاجة إلى هيكل أساسي سليم للمعلومات المكانية من أجل التنمية المستدامة، ودور وأنشطة المركز الوطني لرسم الخرائط في إدارة الكوارث.

Also at the 4th plenary meeting, Peyman Baktash, General Manager, Geographic Information System and spatial data infrastructure, Department of National Cartographic Centre of the Islamic Republic of Iran, presented a paper entitled " Islamic Republic of Iran activities on spatial data infrastructure and data sharing for disaster management " (E/CONF.102/IP.13).
