At the 44th meeting, on 19 July, on the proposal of the President, the Council took note of the oral report by the Director of the Division for Sustainable Development on the format in which the Committee on Natural Resources and the Committee on New and Renewable Sources of Energy and on Energy for Development should present their work.

٩٤ - في الجلسة ٤٤، المعقودة في ١٩ تموز/يوليه، أحاط المجلس علما، بناء على مقترح من الرئيس، بالتقرير الشفوي المقدم من مدير شعبة التنمية المستدامة عن الشكل الذي ينبغي أن تقدم به أعمال كل من لجنة الموارد الطبيعية واللجنة المعنية بمصادر الطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة.

(c) Requested the Secretary-General to provide the necessary technical and substantive support to the meetings of the Committee on Natural Resources and the Committee on New and Renewable Sources of Energy and on Energy for Development;
)ج( طلب الى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم الدعم التقني والفني اللازم لاجتماعات لجنة الموارد الطبيعية واللجنة المعنية بمصادر الطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة وبتسخير الطاقة ﻷغراض التنمية؛

In accordance with Council decision 1994/311, the Council will have before it a report of the Secretary-General based on the views of Member States on the format in which the Committee on Natural Resources and the Committee on New and Renewable Sources of Energy and on Energy for Development should present their work.
ووفقا لمقرر المجلس ١٩٩٤/٣١١، سيعرض على المجلس تقرير يعده اﻷمين العام على أساس آراء الدول اﻷعضاء عن الشكل الذي تود أن تعرض به لجنة الموارد الطبيعية واللجنة المعنية بمصادر الطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة وبتسخير الطاقة ﻷغراض التنمية أعمالها.

(a) Reaffirmed the importance of the continuing work carried out by the Committee on Natural Resources and the Committee on New and Renewable Sources of Energy and on Energy for Development in accordance with General Assembly resolution 46/235 of 13 April 1992.
)أ( أعاد التأكيد على أهمية العمل المستمر الذي تقوم به لجنة الموارد الطبيعية واللجنة المعنية بمصادر الطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة وبتسخير الطاقة ﻷغراض التنمية وفقا لقرار الجمعية العامة ٤٦/٢٣٥ المؤرخ ١٣ نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩١؛

(n) Oral report made by the Director of the Division for Sustainable Development on the format in which the Committee on Natural Resources and the Committee on New and Renewable Sources of Energy and on Energy for Development should present their work.
)ن( تقرير شفوي أدلى به مدير شعبة التنمية المستدامة عن الصيغة التي ينبغي أن تعرض بها أعمال لجنة الموارد الطبيعية واللجنة المعنية بالمصادر الجديدة والمتجددة من الطاقة وباستخدام الطاقة ﻷغراض التنمية)٢٠١(؛

(d) Invited Member States to submit as soon as possible their views on the format in which the Committee on Natural Resources and the Committee on New and Renewable Sources of Energy and on Energy for Development should present their work, and requested the Secretary-General to prepare a report on the basis of those views by the substantive session of 1995 of the Economic and Social Council.
)د( دعا الدول اﻷعضاء الى أن تقدم، بأسرع ما يمكن، آراءها عن الشكل الذي تود أن تعرض به كل من لجنة الموارد الطبيعية واللجنة المعنية بمصادر الطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة وبتسخير الطاقة ﻷغراض التنمية أعمالها، وطلب الى اﻷمين العام أن يعد تقريرا على أساس تلك اﻵراء من خلال الدورة الموضوعية للمجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي لعام ١٩٩٥.

The Committee on Natural Resources and the Committee on New and Renewable Sources of Energy and on Energy for Development are to be merged into a single expert body to be named the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources for Development (Council resolution 1998/46, annex I). The members of the new Committee will be elected by the Council at its resumed substantive session of 1998.
وتدمج لجنة الموارد الطبيعية واللجنة المعنية بمصادر الطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة وبتسخير الطاقة ﻷغراض التنمية في هيئة خبراء واحدة تسمى اللجنة المعنية بتسخير الطاقة والموارد الطبيعية ﻷغراض التنمية )قرار المجلس ١٩٩٨/٤٦، المرفق اﻷول(. وينتخب المجلس في دورته الموضوعية المستأنفة لعام ١٩٩٨ أعضاء اللجنة الجديدة.

a In accordance with Council resolutions 1998/46, annex I, sections C and D, and 1998/47, the Committee on Natural Resources and the Committee on New and Renewable Sources of Energy and on Energy for Development were merged into a single expert body named the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources for Development; the members of the new Committee were elected by the Council at its resumed substantive session of 1998.
