1. The report entitled " Extension of water-related technical cooperation projects to end-beneficiaries: bridging the gap between the normative and the operational in the United Nations system (case studies in two African countries) " was prepared by the Joint Inspection Unit upon a proposal submitted by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in 1999.

34. Evaluation findings, recommendations and lessons learned are used to improve organizational and United Nations system-wide performance in the areas of gender equality and the empowerment of women, and improve coherence between the normative and the operational work carried out in those areas.
34 - تُستخدم نتائج التقييم وتوصياته والدروس المستخلصة منه لتحسين الأداء التنظيمي وعلى نطاق منظومة الأمم المتحدة في مجالي المساواة بين الجنسين وتمكين المرأة، وتعزيز الاتساق بين العمل المعياري والعمل التنفيذي في هذين المجالين.
