It also provides that the Conference shall be convened not later than one year following the entry into force of the Convention and shall adopt rules of procedure and rules governing the functioning of its activities.

وفي القرار 55/25 طلبت الجمعية العامة أيضا إلى الأمين العام أن يكلف المركز بتولي مهام أمانة المؤتمر وطلبت إليه اللجنة أيضا أن يدعو مؤتمر الأطراف للانعقاد في موعد أقصاه سنة واحدة بعد بدء نفاذ الاتفاقية.
