10. The Commission decided to recommend to the General Assembly, through the Economic and Social Council, the convening of a world conference on racism and racial discrimination not later than the year 2001, whose main objectives would be:

)ب( تحسين وتعزيز نظم تخطيط اﻷراضي وإدارتها وتقييمها وذلك من موعد لا يتجاوز عام ٠٠٠٢؛

Welcoming Commission on Human Rights resolution 1997/74 of 18 April 1997, in which the Commission recommended that the General Assembly convene a world conference on racism and racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance not later than the year 2001 and noted the importance of taking a gender perspective into account throughout the preparation of the conference,

5. Expresses its full support for the convening of a world conference to combat racism and racial discrimination not later than the year 2001, as recommended by the Commission on Human Rights in its resolution 1997/74 and the Economic and Social Council in its decision 1997/293;
٥- تعرب عن تأييدها الكامل لعقد مؤتمر عالمي لمكافحة العنصرية والتمييز العنصري في موعد لا يتجاوز عام ١٠٠٢، على نحو ما أوصى به قرار لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان ٧٩٩١/٤٧ ومقرر المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي ٧٩٩١/٣٩٢؛

The first World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance, to be held not later than the year 2001, would be a milestone in the building of such a civilization.
ولهذا فإن المؤتمر العالمي اﻷول ضد العنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكراهية اﻷجانب وما يتصل بذلك من تعصب، الذي سيعقد في موعد أقصاه عام ٢٠٠١، سيشكل حدثا بارزا في مجال بناء هذه الحضارة.

" 21. Decides to convene, not later than the year 2000, a second world conference on natural disaster reduction in order to carry out an overall review of the accomplishments of the Decade and map a strategy for continued disaster reduction activities into the twenty-first century;
