If a minor who is criminally liable commits a felony which carries the death penalty or life imprisonment, those penalties are commuted to a term of imprisonment of not less than five years.
31- إذا ارتكب الصغير المسؤول جنائياً جناية عقوبتها الإعدام أو السجن المؤبد، يُستبدل بهاتين العقوبتين السجن لمدة لا تقل عن خمس سنوات.

323. Article 62 of the same Act provides that: " Without prejudice to any harsher penalty prescribed under any other law, any person who prompts or incites a child to use, traffic in or sell narcotic or psychotropic substances shall be punished with imprisonment for a period of not less than five years and not more than eight years.
323- ونصت في المادة 162 من القانون نفسه على أنه " مع عدم الإخلال بأي عقوبة أشد منصوص عليها في أي قانون آخر، يعاقب بالحبس مدة لا تقل عن خمس سنوات ولا تزيد على ثمان سنوات كل من دفع أو حرض طفلاً على تعاطي المخدرات أو المؤثرات العقلية أو الاتجار بها أو الترويج لها.

4. If, by the criminal offense referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article, the death of one or more persons or large-scale destruction is caused, the perpetrator shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than five years.
4 - يعاقب بالسجن مدة لا تقل عن خمس سنوات من يرتكب جريمة من الجرائم المشار إليها في الفقرة 1 من هذه المادة، إذا تسببت هذه الجريمة في وفاة شخص واحد أو أكثر أو في حدوث تدمير واسع النطاق.

Sections 23 (1) and (2) provide for punishment with imprisonment for a term not less than five years but which may extend to life imprisonment for unauthorized possession with the intent to aid any terrorist.
