The offence should carry a penalty of deprivation of liberty for not less than one year.

(iii) On separation from service, provided that the staff member had an appointment of one year or longer or had completed not less than one year of continuous service.

Section 40 criminalizes and provides for punishment with imprisonment for a term not less than one year but which may extend to life imprisonment and financial liability, in case of contravention of any provision of the Act.

13. An extraditable offence was defined as one that was punishable under domestic law by death or imprisonment of not less than one year.
13 - وقال إن الجناية التي يجري التسليم بشأنها قد عرّفت بأنها الجناية الخاضعة في القانون الداخلي لعقوبة الموت أو السجن لمدة لا تقل عن عام واحد.

Violation of this provision is punishable with imprisonment for a term not less than one year but which may extend to life imprisonment and financial liability (Section 43).
