NAM States parties to the Convention reaffirm that the effective contribution of the Convention to international and regional peace and security can be enhanced through its full implementation and further reaffirm the importance of international cooperation in the field of chemical activities for purposes not prohibited under the Convention.
وتؤكد دول حركة عدم الانحياز الأطراف في الاتفاقية من جديد أن المساهمة الفعالة للاتفاقية في تحقيق السلام والأمن الدوليين والإقليميين يمكن تعزيزها عن طريق تنفيذها تنفيذا كاملا، وتؤكد مجددا كذلك أهمية التعاون الدولي في ميدان تنفيذ الأنشطة الكيميائية في الأغراض غير المحظورة بموجب الاتفاقية.

9. Purposes not prohibited under the Convention:
9 - الأغراض غير المحظورة بموجب الاتفاقية:

36. States Parties reiterated calls for appropriate measures, including effective national export controls, by all States Parties to implement Article III, in order to ensure that direct and indirect transfers relevant to the Convention, to any recipient whatsoever, are authorized only when the intended use is for purposes not prohibited under the Convention.

It calls upon States parties to show greater flexibility in their respective regulations in order to facilitate to the fullest possible extent, within the framework of activities not prohibited under the Convention, the international exchange of chemicals, equipment and scientific and technical information.

MERCOSUR and its associated States call for intensified international cooperation with a view to achieving the economic and technological development of the States parties in the area of chemical activities for purposes not prohibited under the Convention, including the international exchange of scientific and technological information, as well as of chemical substances, for purposes not prohibited under the Convention.
