The attempts of the nuclear-weapon Powers to maintain the discriminatory nature of the NPT and their opposition to the calls for the universality of the Treaty to be affirmed are having an adverse effect on the process of building international confidence and securing complete disarmament.
ومحاولات الدول الحائزة لﻷسلحة النووية للاحتفاظ بالطبيعة التمييزية لهذه المعاهدة ومعارضة تلك الدول للدعوة إلى التأكيد على عالمية المعاهدة تؤثران تأثيرا ضارا على عملية بناء الثقة الدولية وضمان نزع السلاح الكامل.

In order to ensure a strong non-proliferation regime, Switzerland has associated itself with the desire of the majority of States parties to extend the NPT for an indefinite period.
