359. The Committee recommends a review of government policy in relation to unfair dismissal, minimum wages, paid weekly rest time, maximum hours of work and overtime pay rates, with a view to bringing such policy into line with the obligations set forth in the Covenant.

5. The Committee may terminate its facilitation of the friendly settlement procedure if it concludes that the matter is not susceptible to reaching a resolution or any of the parties does not consent to its application, decides to discontinue it, or does not display the requisite will to reach a friendly settlement based on respect for the obligations set forth in the Covenant.

102. Effectively guarantee the exercise of freedom of expression, association and peaceful assembly and the right to participate in public life and politics, in line with the obligations set forth in the Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (Chile);
102- ضمان ممارسة حرية التعبير وتكوين الجمعيات والتجمع السلمي بفعالية، وضمان الحق في المشاركة في الحياة العامة والسياسات، تمشياً مع الالتزامات المنصوص عليها في العهد الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية (شيلي)؛

1. At the request of any of the parties, at any time after receipt of a communication and before a determination on the merits has been reached, the Committee shall make available its good offices to the parties with a view to reaching a friendly settlement of the matter said to amount to a violation of the Covenant and submitted for consideration under the Optional Protocol, on the basis of respect for the obligations set forth in the Covenant.
1- تعرض اللجنة على الأطراف، بناء على طلب أي منها، في أي وقت بعد تلقي البلاغ وقبل البت في الأسس الموضوعية، بذل مساع حميدة بهدف التوصل إلى تسوية ودية للمسألة التي يُدّعى أنها تنطوي على انتهاك للعهد والتي أثيرت لتكون موضع نظر بموجب البروتوكول الاختياري، وذلك على أساس احترام الالتزامات المنصوص عليها في العهد.
