My delegation notes with satisfaction that participants in the Conference to Support Middle East Peace, convened in Washington in October 1993, pledged $2.4 billion in economic assistance to the Occupied Territories for the five-year transition period.
ووفدي يلاحظ بارتياح أن المشاركين في مؤتمر دعم السلم في الشرق اﻷوسط الذي عقد في واشنطن في تشرين اﻷول/أكتوبر ١٩٩٣ تعهدوا بتقديم ٢,٤ بليون دولار في شكل مساعدة اقتصادية لﻷراضي المحتلة لفترة الخمس سنوات الانتقالية.

The Conference to Support Middle East Peace held in Washington on 1 October last year pledged some $2.4 billion in economic assistance to the Occupied Territories for the five-year transition period from 1994 to 1999. Despite all those promises and pledges made, it is indeed disappointing to note that only a fraction has so far been delivered.
والمؤتمر الخاص بدعم السلام في الشرق اﻷوسط، والذي عقد في واشنطن في ١ تشرين اﻷول/اكتوبر من العام الماضي، تعهد بتقديم ما يقرب من ٢,٤ مليون دولار في شكل مساعدة اقتصادية لﻷراضي المحتلة لفترة الخمس سنوات الانتقالية من ١٩٩٤ الى ١٩٩٩، وعلى الرغم من كل هذه الوعود والتعهدات، فمن دواعي خيبة اﻷمل حقا أن نلاحظ أن نسبة ضئيلة فقط هي التي قدمت حتى اﻵن.
