This is an important recommendation contained in the programme of activities of the Decade, which must be fully kept in perspective, in words and programmes and, more importantly, in deeds and decisions.
وهذه توصية هامة وردت في برنامــج أنشطة العقد الذي يجب أن يظل بالكامل في المنظــور وفــي اﻷلفاظ والبرامج، واﻷهم من ذلك أن يظــل فــي اﻷفعــال والقرارات.

١٤ - ورحب الفريق العامل بتعليقات ومقترحات المشاركين فيما يتعلق بالعقد الدولي، وأكد من جديد استعداده لمساعدة منسق العقد في تنفيذ برنامج أنشطة العقد.

2. One of the main objectives of the programme of activities of the Decade was the adoption of a United Nations declaration on the rights of indigenous peoples and the further development of international standards and national legislation governing those rights.
٢ - إن أحد اﻷهداف الرئيسية لبرنامج أنشطة العقد هو اعتماد إعلان لﻷمم المتحدة بشأن حقوق السكان اﻷصليين، ومواصلة تطوير المعايير الدولية والتشريعات الوطنية التي تنظم تلك الحقوق.
