(c) To explore the implications of eco-efficiency for policy development and implementation, in particular in combination with priority identification and goal-setting;
)ج( استطلاع آثار الكفاءة اﻹيكولوجية على عملية وضع السياسات وتنفيذها، وخصوصا بالاقتران بتحديد اﻷولويات واﻷهداف؛

3. The Commission, therefore, decides to include in its future work consideration of policies to promote sustainable production patterns, and, in this context, to consider the concept of eco-efficiency and examples of its application in developed and developing countries, and the transfer of environmentally sound technologies for these purposes.
٣ - لذلك تقرر اللجنة أن تدرج في برنامج عملها مستقبلا النظر في السياسات اللازمة لتعزيز أنماط اﻹنتاج المستدامة، والنظر، في هذا اﻹطار، في مفهوم الكفاءة اﻹيكولوجية وأمثلة تطبيقها في البلدان المتقدمة النمو والبلدان النامية، ونقل التكنولوجيا السليمة بيئيا لتحقيق هذه اﻷغراض.

35. The concept of eco-efficiency should not be a substitute for changes in unsustainable lifestyles of consumers, and the pursuit of eco-efficiency also requires enhanced efforts to assist developing countries in their efforts to promote sustainable consumption and production patterns, by improving access to financial resources and environmentally sound technologies.
٣٥ - وينبغي ألا يكون مفهوم الكفاءة اﻹيكولوجية بديلا للتغيرات في أنماط الحياة غير المستدامة للمستهلكين، ويتطلب السعي إلى الكفاءة اﻹيكولوجية أيضا جهودا معززة لمساعدة البلدان النامية في جهودها الرامية إلى تشجيع أنماط الاستهلاك واﻹنتاج المستدامة، عن طريق تحسين الوصول إلى الموارد المالية والتكنولوجيات السليمة بيئيا.

(f) Notes that the concept of eco-efficiency should not be a substitute for changes in unsustainable lifestyles of consumers, and also notes that the pursuit of eco-efficiency also requires enhanced efforts to assist developing countries in their efforts to promote sustainable consumption and production patterns, by improving access to financial resources and environmentally sound technologies;
)و( تلاحظ أن مفهوم الكفاءة اﻹيكولوجية لا ينبغي أن يكون بديلا عن إجراء تغييرات في اﻷساليب غير القابلة للاستدامة لحياة المستهلكين، وتلاحظ كذلك أن تحقيق الكفاءة اﻹيكولوجية يحتاج كذلك إلى تعزيز الجهود من أجل مساعدة البلدان النامية فيما تبذله من جهود لتعزيز أنماط الاستهلاك واﻹنتاج المستدامة عن طريق تحسين وصولها إلى الموارد المالية والتكنولوجيات السليمة بيئيا؛

At the same time, it was noted that initiatives in the field of eco-efficiency should not be a substitute for changes in unsustainable consumer lifestyles.
وأشير، في الوقت ذاته، إلى أن المبادرات المتخذة في ميدان الفعالية اﻹيكولوجية ينبغي ألا تحل محل التغييرات في أساليب حياة المستهلكين غير المستدامة.

42. The concept of eco-efficiency was originally coined by the business community to mean production of goods and services with less resource consumption and less pollution.
٤٢ - قام مجتمع اﻷعمال التجارية بصياغة مفهوم الفعالية اﻹيكولوجية أصلا ليدل على إنتاج البضائع والخدمات باستهلاك قدر أقل من الموارد وإحداث نسبة أقل من التلوث.

This is evidenced by all kinds of eco-efficiency measures when applied to the economies of small island developing States and compared to larger developing countries.
ويستدل على ذلك من جميع أنواع التدابير المعنية بالكفاءة الإيكولوجية عند تطبيقها على اقتصادات الدول الجزرية الصغيرة النامية ومقارنتها بالبلدان النامية الأكبر.
