The present report on improvement of equitable geographical representation of Member States in the staff of the Secretariat appointed to posts subject to geographical distribution in the system of desirable ranges is submitted pursuant to the request made by the General Assembly in section II, paragraph 29, of its resolution 57/305 of 15 April 2003.
