111. In its resolution 7/32 of 28 March 2008, the Council requested the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Myanmar to report to the Council in accordance with its annual programme of work.

2. On 4 October 1999, the Special Rapporteur presented his interim report on the situation of human rights in Myanmar to the fifty-fourth session of the General Assembly (A/54/440) and made an introductory statement.
