In resolution 1993/74 of 10 March 1993, the Commission welcomed the proposal of the Special Rapporteur to deploy a team of human rights monitors to Iraq and asked the Secretary-General to provide funds for this purpose.
وفي القرار ١٩٩٣/٧٤ المؤرخ ١٠ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٣، رحبت اللجنة باقتراح المقرر العام الذي يدعو الى وزع فرقة من مراقبي حقوق الانسان في العراق، وطلبت الى اﻷمين العام أن يوفر أموالا لهذا الغرض.

31. The security environment, particularly in the south, south-east and eastern regions, has seriously constrained the ability of human rights monitors to investigate allegations of violations.
31- أدت البيئة الأمنية، ولا سيما في المناطق الجنوبية والجنوبية الشرقية والشرقية، إلى تقييد قدرة مراقبي حقوق الإنسان في تحري ادعاءات العنف تقييداً كبيراً.

8. Requests the Secretary-General to provide the Special Rapporteur with all necessary assistance in carrying out his mandate and to take the necessary measures in order to send a team of human rights monitors to such locations as would facilitate improved information flows and assessment and would help in the independent verification of reports on the situation of human rights in Iraq;

42. In its resolution 50/191 of 22 December 1995, entitled " Situation of human rights in Iraq " , the General Assembly inter alia requested the Secretary-General to approve the allocation of sufficient human and material resources for the sending of human rights monitors to such locations as would facilitate improved information flow and assessment and help in the independent verification of reports on the situation of human rights in Iraq.
٢٤- طلبت الجمعية العامة إلى اﻷمين العام، في قرارها ٠٥/١٩١ المؤرخ في ٢٢ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ٥٩٩١ والمعنون " حالة حقوق اﻹنسان في العراق " ، من جملة أمور، أن يعتمد تخصيص موارد بشرية ومادية كافية ﻹرسال مراقبين لحقوق اﻹنسان إلى المواقع التي تيسر تحسين تدفق المعلومات وتقييمها وتساعد على التحقق المستقل من التقارير عن حالة حقوق اﻹنسان في العراق.

(v) That, irrespective of the position of the Government of Iraq with regard to the stationing of human rights monitors within the country, sufficient human and material resources be provided for the sending of human rights monitors to such locations as would facilitate improved information flow and assessment and would help in the independent verification of reports on the situation of human rights in Iraq.
