20. During her mandate, the Special Rapporteur has observed that the issue of judicial accountability has received renewed attention, especially in the context of democratic and/or judicial reforms.

Important challenges remain for the implementation of judicial accountability, such as corporatism, the use of such accountability as an instrument of reprisal or external and internal pressure against justice operators and the lack of international standards to help States overcome those difficulties.
108- ولا يزال تنفيذ المساءلة القضائية يواجه تحديات جساماً، من قبيل هيمنة جماعات المصلحة واستخدام هذه المساءلة كوسيلة للانتقام أو الضغط الخارجي والداخلي على القيّمين على شؤون القضاء، وغياب المعايير الدولية لمساعدة الدول على تجاوز هذه الصعوبات.
