650. The Committee recommends that the State party carry out a comprehensive study on the situation of children of migrant families with the aim of developing adequate strategies to ensure their protection and the full enjoyment of their rights.

The Committee is also concerned about information that migrant families who are unable to cover the cost of hospitalization might be denied birth notification, and about reported cases of migrant families who have to pay exorbitant costs for a DNA test in order to have the father's name included in the birth notification.

80. The Special Rapporteur also commends host countries, especially those belonging to the European Communities, for their efforts to build intercultural and teaching skills to favour the inclusion of migrant families and their children, regardless of their migration status.
