In doing so, OHCHR underlines how the effective protection of the human rights of migrants is critical to ensuring that migration is a choice and an opportunity rather than a survival strategy and to facilitating the integration of migrants in countries of destination, enabling them to become fully active members of their new communities.
والمفوضية بقيامها بذلك، إنما تؤكد بشدة أهمية حماية حقوق الإنسان الخاصة بالمهاجرين على نحو فعال في كفالة أن تكون الهجرة اختياراً وفرصة بدلا من أن تكون استراتيجية للبقاء وفي تيسير اندماج المهاجرين في بلدان المقصد، بما يمكّنهم من أن يصبحوا أفرادا نشطين على نحو تام في مجتمعاتهم المحلية الجديدة.
