117. The Commission was informed that the report on the monitoring of multilateral population assistance (E/CN.9/1994/6) had been prepared in response to a recommendation of the International Conference on Population held at Mexico City in 1984, in which the Secretary-General was requested to undertake the monitoring of multilateral population programmes of the United Nations system.
١١٧ - أحيطت اللجنة علما بأن التقرير عن رصد المساعدة السكانية المتعددة اﻷطراف (E/CN.9/1994/6) أعد استجابة لتوصية من المؤتمر الدولي المعني بالسكان المعقود في مكسيكو في عام ١٩٨٤، وطلب فيه الى اﻷمين العام أن يقوم برصد برامج اﻷمم المتحدة السكانية المتعددة اﻷطراف.

The present report has been prepared in response to recommendation 88 of the International Conference on Population held at Mexico City in 1984, as well as to Economic and Social Council resolutions 1986/7 and 1987/72, in which the Secretary-General was requested to prepare, on a regular basis, reports on monitoring of multilateral population assistance.
أعد هذا التقرير استجابة للتوصية ٨٨ الصادرة عن المؤتمر الدولي المعني بالسكان الذي عقد في مكسيكو في عام ١٩٨٤، وكذلك لقراري المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي ١٩٨٦/٧ و ١٩٨٧/٧٢، اللذين طلب فيهما الى اﻷمين العام أن يعد، على أساس منتظم، تقارير عن رصد المساعدة المتعددة اﻷطراف في ميدان السكان.

3. The present report covers substantive and operational aspects of multilateral population assistance within the United Nations system and draws on as complete an information base as possible.
