30. At the 3rd meeting, on 16 April, the representative of Canada proposed a draft decision entitled " Participation of non-governmental organizations in the Conference and its preparatory process " , which read as follows:
٣٠ - في الجلسة الثالثة، المعقودة في ١٦ نيسان/ابريل، اقترح ممثل كندا مشروع مقرر بعنوان " مشاركة المنظمات غير الحكومية في المؤتمر وعمليته التحضيرية " ينص كما يلي:

The draft has since been revised to incorporate comments made by the Preparatory Committee at its first session and taking into account the relevant subsequent resolutions and decisions of the Economic and Social Council, particularly on the name of the Conference and the involvement of non-governmental organizations in the Conference.

58. The NGO Planning Committee for the International Conference on Population and Development was established in 1991 to coordinate and facilitate the participation of non-governmental organizations in the Conference and its preparatory process.

FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONFERENCE 45. The Preparatory Committee considered agenda item 4 at its 1st meeting on 14 March. It had before it a note by the Secretary-General on the participation of non-governmental organizations in the Conference (A/CONF.172/PC/L.3).
٤٥ - نظرت اللجنة التحضيرية في البند ٤ من جدول اﻷعمال في جلستها، اﻷولى المعقودة في ١٤ آذار/ مارس، وكان معروضا عليها مذكرة من اﻷمين العام بشأن اشتراك المنظمات غير الحكومية في المؤتمر A/CONF.172/PC/L.3)(.

13. The Conference will also have before it an information note on practical arrangements for the Conference prepared by the Secretary-General (A/CONF.211/5) and a note by the Secretariat concerning the participation of non-governmental organizations in the Conference (A/CONF.211/6).
