Work on the elaboration of an international convention dealing with the safety and security of personnel participating in United Nations peace-keeping and other operations is being actively conducted in the framework of an ad hoc committee established by the General Assembly at its last session.
٧٠ - والعمل جار على قدم وساق، في إطار لجنة مخصصة أنشأتها الجمعية العامة في دورتها اﻷخيرة، في وضع اتفاقية دولية تتناول سلامة وأمن اﻷفراد المشتركين في عمليات حفظ السلام وغيرها من عمليات اﻷمم المتحدة.

4. Given the fundamental importance of ensuring the security and safety of personnel participating in peacekeeping operations, his delegation would cooperate with DPKO and the Office of the United Nations Security Coordinator on security issues and would contribute to the establishment of security mechanisms that would benefit all Member States.
