(i) A description of the technology related to the recovery and processing of polymetallic sulphides or cobalt crusts that is necessary for making the designation of a reserved area;

1. The contractor shall have the exclusive right to explore an area covered by a plan of work for exploration in respect of polymetallic sulphides or cobalt crusts.

(c) " exploitation " means the recovery for commercial purposes of polymetallic sulphides or cobalt crusts in the Area and the extraction of minerals therefrom, including the construction and operation of mining, processing and transportation systems, for the production and marketing of metals;
(ج) يعني مصطلح " الاستغلال " استخراج الكبريتيدات المؤلفة من عدة معادن أو القشور الغنية بالكوبالت في المنطقة للأغراض التجارية واستخلاص المعادن منها، بما في ذلك بناء وتشغيل أنظمة التعدين والمعالجة والنقل لإنتاج المعادن وتسويقها؛

(g) " prospecting " means the search for deposits of polymetallic sulphides or cobalt crusts in the Area, including estimation of the composition, sizes and distributions of deposits of polymetallic sulphides or cobalt crusts and their economic values, without any exclusive rights;
(ز) يعني مصطلح " التنقيب " البحث عن رواسب الكبريتيدات المؤلفة من عدة معادن أو القشور الغنية بالكوبالت في المنطقة، ويشمل ذلك تقدير تكوين وحجم وتوزيع رواسب الكبريتيدات المؤلفة من عدة معادن أو القشور الغنية بالكوبالت، وقيمها الاقتصادية، دون أن تترتب على ذلك أية حقوق خالصة؛

(ج) يعني مصطلح " الاستغلال " استخراج الكبريتيدات المؤلفة من عدة معادن أو القشور الغنية بالكوبالت في المنطقة للأغراض التجارية واستخلاص المعادن منها، بما في ذلك بناء وتشغيل أنظمة التعدين والمعالجة والنقل لإنتاج المعادن وتسويقها(1)؛

(g) " prospecting " means the search for deposits of polymetallic sulphides or cobalt crusts in the Area, including estimation of the composition, sizes and distributions of deposits of polymetallic sulphides or cobalt crusts and their economic values, without any exclusive rights;1
(ز) يعني مصطلح " التنقيب " البحث عن رواسب الكبريتيدات المؤلفة من عدة معادن أو القشور الغنية بالكوبالت في المنطقة، ويشمل ذلك تقدير تكوين وحجم وتوزيع رواسب الكبريتيدات المؤلفة من عدة معادن أو القشور الغنية بالكوبالت، وقيمها الاقتصادية، دون أن تترتب على ذلك أية حقوق خالصة(1)؛

(d) " exploration " means searching for deposits of polymetallic sulphides or cobalt crusts in the Area with exclusive rights, the analysis of such deposits, the use and testing of recovery systems and equipment, processing facilities and transportation systems, and the carrying out of studies of the environmental, technical, economic, commercial and other appropriate factors that must be taken into account in exploitation;1
(د) يعني مصطلح " الاستكشاف " البحث، بحقوق خالصة، عن رواسب الكبريتيدات المؤلفة من عدة معادن أو القشور الغنية بالكوبالت في المنطقة، وتحليل هذه الرواسب، واستخدام واختبار نظم ومعدات الاستخلاص، ومرافق المعالجة وأنظمة النقل، وإجراء دراسات للعوامل البيئية والتقنية والاقتصادية والتجاريــة وغيرهــا من العوامل المناسبة التي يجب مراعاتها في الاستغلال(1)؛

(d) " exploration " means searching for deposits of polymetallic sulphides or cobalt crusts in the Area with exclusive rights, the analysis of such deposits, the use and testing of recovery systems and equipment, processing facilities and transportation systems, and the carrying out of studies of the environmental, technical, economic, commercial and other appropriate factors that must be taken into account in exploitation;
