28. The Help Guide for affected country Parties of regions other than Africa, Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean should be reviewed to reflect the specific needs of the country Parties in these regions.

INTRODUCTION 1. Decision 9/COP.7, on the programme of work of the fifth session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC), decided that the CRIC would review reports on implementation of affected country Parties of regions other than Africa, including on the participatory process, and on experience gained and results achieved in the preparation and implementation of action programmes.

The Conference of the Parties (decision 2/COP.2) decided to include on the agenda of its fourth and, if necessary, its fifth session (a) the review of reports of affected country Parties of regions other than Africa and (b) the review of the report on progress made in the formulation and implementation of subregional and regional action programmes in regions other than Africa.
