1. Over the past several months, the secretariat has received a significant number of reports of States parties to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women for consideration by the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women.

The General Assembly decided to assess the situation regarding the meeting time of the two Committees at its sixty-fifth session on the basis of an evaluation made by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), taking into account a more comprehensive approach to the backlog of human rights treaty bodies and the increasing number of reports of States parties to the human rights conventions.
وقررت الجمعية العامة أن تُقيِّـم في دورتها الخامسة والستين الوضع فيما يتصل بمدة اجتماع اللجنتين بناء على تقييم تجريه مفوضية حقوق الإنسان، مع الأخذ في الاعتبار اعتماد نهج أشمل إزاء تراكم أعمال هيئات معاهدات حقوق الإنسان وتزايد عدد التقارير المقدمة من الدول الأطراف في معاهدات حقوق الإنسان.

14 - تقرر أيضا أن تقيم في دورتها الخامسة والستين الحالة في ما يتصل بفترة اجتماع اللجنة بناء على تقييم تجريه المفوضية، مع الأخذ في الاعتبار اعتماد نهج أشمل إزاء تراكم أعمال الهيئات المنشأة بموجب معاهدات حقوق الإنسان وتزايد عدد التقارير المقدمة من الدول الأطراف في معاهدات حقوق الإنسان؛

14 - تقرر أيضا أن تقيّم في دورتها الخامسة والستين الحالة في ما يتصل بفترة اجتماع اللجنة وذلك بناء على تقييم تجريه مفوضية حقوق الإنسان، وعلى نحو يأخذ في الحسبان نهج أشمل إزاء تراكم أعمال الهيئات المنشأة بمعاهدات حقوق الإنسان وتزايد عدد التقارير المقدمة من الدول الأطراف في معاهدات حقوق الإنسان؛

(a) In the fourth preambular paragraph, the words " increasing number of reports of States parties to the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Optional Protocols " were replaced by the words " increasing backlog of reports of States parties to the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Optional Protocols awaiting review by the Committee " ;
(أ) في الفقرة الرابعة من الديباجة، استعيض عن عبارة " العدد المتزايد من تقارير الدول الأطراف في اتفاقية حقوق الطفل والبروتوكولين الاختياريين " بعبارة " تزايد تراكم تقارير الدول الأطراف في اتفاقية حقوق الطفل والبروتوكولين الاختياريين التي لم تستعرضها اللجنة بعد " ؛
