20. In addition to the structures and processes in place to implement gender mainstreaming, the majority of Secretariat programmes also agreed with statements in the OIOS survey that indicated that a gender perspective was incorporated, at least to some extent, in their work (see table 2).

The Inspection and Evaluation Division is headed by a Director at the D-2 level (funded from the regular budget), and comprises three sections committed to undertaking inspections and evaluations of Secretariat programmes, including peacekeeping, and providing timely, valid and reliable information from an independent perspective that can be used to strengthen the Organization.
