(b) Promote regional cooperation and integration, in a spirit of solidarity and partnership based on mutual interest, in programmes and activities to combat desertification and/or mitigate the effects of drought;
)ب( تعزيز التعاون والتكامل الاقليميين، بروح من التضامن والشراكة المستندة إلى المصلحة المشتركة، في برامج وأنشطة مكافحة التصحر و/أو تخفيف آثار الجفاف؛

(b) promote regional cooperation and integration, in a spirit of solidarity and partnership based on mutual interest, in programmes and activities to combat desertification and/or mitigate the effects of drought;
)ب( تعزيز التعاون والتكامل الاقليميين، بروح من التضامن والشراكة المستندة إلى المصلحة المشتركة، في برامج وأنشطة مكافحة التصحر و/أو تخفيف آثار الجفاف؛

" The Parties shall, in the spirit of solidarity and partnership and in accordance with their respective needs, capabilities and situations, strengthen co-operation and co-ordination to achieve the objectives of this Agreement. "

By its article 4, the African country Parties undertake to, among other things: (a) adopt the combating of desertification and/or the mitigation of the effects of drought as a central strategy in their efforts to eradicate poverty, and (b) promote regional cooperation and integration, in a spirit of solidarity and partnership based on mutual interest, in programmes and activities to combat desertification and/or mitigate the effects of drought.
