In 2011, the data compilation of statistics of international trade in services was discussed at the Global Forum in Geneva, in February, and the seminar in Beijing, in October, with participation of statisticians from national statistical offices, central banks and ministries.

I. Introduction 1. The present report of the inter-agency Task Force on Statistics of International Trade in Services summarizes the activities carried out by the Task Force in accordance with the decision taken by the Statistical Commission at its forty-first session in the area of statistics of international trade in services (E/2010/24, chap.
