V. PARTICIPATION OF INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES IN THE PLANNING AND EXECUTION of the activities of the Decade

Given this situation, the Cuban delegation believes that, during this meeting, we must, first and foremost, reflect on the role that States are assigning to international law as a whole, and not merely conduct a formal assessment of the programme of the activities of the Decade at its end.
وفي ظل هذه الحالة، يرى وفد كوبا أنه يجب علينا أثناء هذه الجلسة أن نفكر أولا وقبل كل شيء في الدور الذي تضطلع به الدول في سياق القانون الدولي في مجموعه وليس مجرد تقديم تقييم رسمي لبرنامج أنشطة العقد في نهايته.

127. Several indigenous representatives stated that as subjects of the Decade indigenous peoples should be more involved in the planning, coordination and implementation of the activities of the Decade.
