His Government looked forward to the Secretary-General's (Mr. Gokhale, India) report on all aspects of the administration and management of UNTAC, with a view to the utilization of that experience in other peace-keeping operations.

As noted in paragraph 8 above, the mandate of many external auditors of the organizations of the United Nations system extends beyond financial audit and the review of internal controls to include observations with respect to the efficiency of the administration and management of the organization.

Among other initiatives, the Unit has undertaken a series of comprehensive reviews of the administration and management of its participating organizations; thus, the Unit has completed and submitted for action by the appropriate legislative organs comprehensive reviews of management and administration in ILO and UNESCO.

٦ - تحيط علما أيضا بالتقرير الممتاز لﻷمين العام عن التقييم الشامل لجميع جوانب إدارة وتنظيم سلطة اﻷمم المتحدة الانتقالية في كمبوديا)٤(؛

1. The present report is submitted in accordance with paragraph 11 of General Assembly resolution 48/255 of 26 May 1994, by which the Secretary-General was requested to provide a comprehensive evaluation of all aspects of the administration and management of the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC) with a view to utilizing the experience in other peacekeeping operations.
١ - هذا التقرير مقدم وفقا للفقرة ١١ من قرار الجمعية العامة ٤٨/٢٥٥ المؤرخ ٢٦ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٤، والتي طُلب بموجبها إلى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم تقييما شاملا لجميع جوانب إدارة وتنظيم سلطة اﻷمم المتحدة الانتقالية في كمبوديا بغية الاستفادة من هذه الخبرة في عمليات حفظ السلام اﻷخرى.

14 - تسلم أيضا بقيمة الملاحظات والتوصيات فيما يتعلق بكفاءة إدارة وتنظيم الأمم المتحدة وصناديقها وبرامجها، بما في ذلك الإجراءات المالية ونظم المحاسبة والضوابط المالية الداخلية، دون المساس بنوعية المراجعة المالية، وتؤيد مواصلة بذل الجهود في هذا الصدد؛

14. Recognizes the value of the observations and recommendations with regard to the efficiency of the administration and management of the United Nations and its funds and programmes, including the financial procedures, the accounting systems and the internal financial controls, without compromising the quality of the financial audit, and supports the continuation of these efforts;
