3.5 The author requests the Committee to find a violation of article 2, article 12, paragraph 1, and article 26 of the Covenant and to instruct the State party to grant her compensation of 30,000 euros for moral and psychological injury and a further 30,000 euros to offset the costs she incurred in the proceedings before the domestic courts.

Consequently, the authors ask the Committee to rule that there was a violation of the Covenant and to request the State party to provide just compensation for the injury and loss suffered by those reappointed to category M posts and, especially, appropriate reparation for the injury and loss caused to those who retired from category R at the age of 70 under the former legislation.

In addition, the Committee highlighted the obligation of States parties to ensure that their investigative apparatus has the capacity to investigate, as far as possible, the criminal responsibility of all relevant domestic and foreign officials for conduct in breach of article 7 of the Covenant and to bring the appropriate charges.
