- Establishment of a subregional structure with responsibility for facilitating the implementation of the decisions of the ECCAS Heads of State regarding the movement of certain categories of persons and the management and protection of borders;
- إنشاء كيان دون إقليمي مكلف بتيسير تطبيق قرارات رؤساء دول الجماعة الاقتصادية لدول وسط أفريقيا بشأن حركة بعض الفئات من اﻷشخاص وإدارة الحدود وحمايتها؛

ECCAS has also informed ECA that: (i) a study on the establishment of the ECCAS Compensation Fund is currently being carried out; and (ii) the ECCAS secretariat is about to update its Protocols on Trade.

8. In the view of the ECCAS secretariat, the long experience and wide expertise of the United Nations in the fields of conflict prevention and crisis management could valuably be tailored to address the peculiar context of central Africa.

175. The African Union is continuing its partnership with the European Union under the programme to facilitate peace in Africa, in particular for support to the activities of the ECCAS peacebuilding mission.
