73- السيدة كينسي (فرنسا): تحدثت بالنيابة عن الاتحاد الأوروبي والدول المنتسبة اليه قائلة ان التقرير المرحلي الذي أعده المدير العام (IDB.23/14) لا يتناول سوى مبادىء عامة جدا ولا يقدم الا معلومات محددة قليلة بشأن الأنشطة التنفيذية من أجل التنمية.

Ms. QUINCY (France), speaking on behalf of the European Union and associated States, said that, while the European Union welcomed the improvements in UNIDO's financial situation, as shown in the report of the External Auditor (IDB.23/3 and Corr.1), it regretted that previous measures to encourage Member States to observe their financial commitments had not been effective.

Ms. QUINCY (France), speaking on behalf of the European Union and associated States, said that, as indicated in document IDB.23/9, paragraph 1, global forum activities were activities aimed at exchanging and disseminating knowledge and information, facilitating partnerships and promoting understanding of the problems relating to sustainable industrial development.
27- السيدة كوينسي (فرنسا): قالت في حديثها بالنيابة عن الاتحاد الأوروبي والدول المنتسبة اليه انه مثلما ورد في الفقرة 1 من الوثيقة IDB.23/9، فان الأنشطة المضطلع بها في اطار المحفل العالمي هي أنشطة تهدف الى تبادل المعارف والمعلومات ونشرها، وتيسير اقامة الشراكات وتعزيز فهم المشاكل المتعلقة بالتنمية الصناعية المستدامة.

Mr. MAZILU (Romania) said that his delegation endorsed the statement made by the delegation of Ireland on behalf of the European Union and associated States.
٣٢ - السيد مازيلو )رومانيا(: قال إن وفده يؤيد البيان الذي أدلى به وفد إيرلندا باسم الاتحاد اﻷوروبي والدول المرتبطة به.

Ms. TOMOVÁ (Slovakia) said that her delegation wished to associate itself with the statement made at the 8th meeting by the representative of Ireland on behalf of the European Union and associated States.

It is expected that such steps would have beneficial effects on the consolidation of peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We share these expectations and we would like to endorse, in particular, the point made in the statement on behalf of the European Union and associated States regarding State succession and the normalization of relations among all five successor States of the former Yugoslavia.
