For the purposes of the first election of the judges of the International Criminal Court, the election procedure will be the following:

4. The distribution of seats among the regional groups for the purpose of the first election is established in paragraph 8 of resolution ICC-ASP/1/Res.5 as follows:

13. For the purposes of the first election of judges of the International Criminal Court, the President of the Assembly of States Parties shall extend the nomination period once until 8 December 2002, if at the end of the nomination period:

13. Postponement of the first election of the members of the Commission was not the first such action undertaken by the Meeting: the first election of the judges of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea was postponed by the Meeting for over 14 months.
13 - ولم يكن تأجيل الانتخاب الأول لأعضاء اللجنة أول إجراء اتخذه الاجتماع: فقد أجل هذا الاجتماع الانتخاب الأول لقضاة المحكمة الدولية لقانون البحار لما يزيد عن 14 شهرا.

2. The Secretariat, in consultation with the Bureau of the Assembly of States Parties, has prepared the voting requirements and a sample ballot paper for the purposes of the first election of the judges for the International Criminal Court.
2 - وأعدت الأمانة التنفيذية، بالتشاور مع مكتب جمعية الدول الأطراف، اشتراطات التصويت ونموذجا من ورقة الاقتراع لأغراض الانتخاب الأول لقضاة المحكمة الجنائية الدولية.

" (a) Having regard to the recommendations of the Preparatory Commission for the International Seabed Authority and for the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, there would be a deferment of the first election of the members of the Tribunal.
" (أ) مراعاة لتوصيات اللجنة التحضيرية للسلطة الدولية لقاع البحار وللمحكمة الدولية لقانون البحار، سوف يتم تأجيل الانتخاب الأول لأعضاء المحكمة.

12. For the purposes of the first election of judges of the International Criminal Court, the President of the Assembly of States Parties shall inform all States Parties through diplomatic channels and through specific information on the web site of the International Criminal Court, if on 1 November 2002:
12 - يقوم رئيس جمعية الدول الأطراف، لأغراض الانتخاب الأول لقضاة المحكمة الجنائية الدولية، بإبلاغ جميع الدول الأطراف عبر القنوات الدبلوماسية ومن خلال معلومات محددة تنشر في موقع المحكمة على شبكة الإنترنت بما إذا كان هناك في 1 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2002:

4. Meetings shall be convened periodically for the election of the members of the Commission in accordance with the provisions of annex II, article 2, of the Convention and the present rules, and within five years of the first election of the members of the Commission and every five years thereafter for the election of such members.
