Some delegations expressed the view that provisions regarding the primacy of the outer space treaties should be asserted more forcefully in the operative paragraphs of the future protocol in order to ensure its compatibility with the United Nations treaties on outer space and that in case of any conflict with the treaties on outer space, the provisions of those treaties would prevail.
107- وأعرب بعض الوفود عن رأي مؤداه أن فقرات منطوق البروتوكول المقبل ينبغي أن تشدّد بدرجة أكبر على الأحكام المتعلّقة بغلبة معاهدات الفضاء الخارجي بغية ضمان توافقها مع معاهدات الأمم المتحدة بشأن الفضاء الخارجي، وأنه في حال حدوث أي تنازع مع معاهدات الفضاء الخارجي تكون الغلبة لأحكام تلك المعاهدات.

The view was expressed that, after consideration of the legal, administrative and cost aspects, it would be necessary for the General Assembly to provide policy direction with regard to the mandate of the Committee and to its role in the implementation of the future protocol on matters specific to space assets.
183- وأعرب عن رأي مفاده أن من الضروري، بعد النظر في الجوانب القانونية والإدارية والمالية، أن تصدر الجمعية العامة توجيها للسياسة العامة فيما يخص ولاية اللجنة ودورها في تنفيذ البروتوكول المقبل بشأن المسائل الخاصة بالموجودات الفضائية.
