وطُلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم تقريرا إلى المجلس في غضون ٣٠ يوما بشأن ما يحرز من تقدم في تنفيذ خطة التسوية.

As a neighbouring country and an official observer of the implementation of the Settlement Plan, Algeria was acting with a high sense of responsibility to promote a climate which would facilitate the implementation of the peace plan in conditions of credibility, transparency and impartiality.

Report of the Secretary-General dated 10 July on the situation concerning Western Sahara (S/1998/634), submitted pursuant to Security Council resolution 1163 (1998), describing developments in the progress of the implementation of the Settlement Plan and the agreements reached between the parties, Morocco and the Frente POLISARIO, and recommending that the mandate of MINURSO be extended for a period of two months, until 21 September 1998.
تقرير اﻷمين العام المؤرخ ١٠ تموز/يوليه عن الحالة المتعلقة بالصحراء الغربية )S/1998/634( المقدم عملا بقرار مجلس اﻷمن ١١٦٣ )١٩٩٨(، والذي يشرح تطورات التقدم المحرز في تنفيذ خطة التسوية والاتفاقات التي تم التوصل إليهـا بين الطرفين، المملكـة المغربية والجبهة الشعبية لتحرير الساقية الحمراء ووادي الذهب )جبهة البوليساريو( ويوصي بتمديد ولاية البعثة لمدة شهرين حتى ٢١ أيلول/سبتمبر ١٩٩٨.
