34. On 9 December 1994, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Committee, adopted the following text without a vote as representing the consensus of the members of the Assembly (decision 49/420):
٣٤ - وفي ٩ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٤، اعتمدت الجمعية العامة بناء على توصية اللجنة النص التالي دون تصويت بوصفه حصيلة التوافق في آراء أعضاء الجمعية العامة )المقرر ٤٩/٤٢٠(:

7. On 10 December 1993, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Special Political and Decolonization Committee (Fourth Committee), adopted the following text without a vote as representing the consensus of the members of the Assembly:
٧ - وفي ١٠ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٣، اعتمدت الجمعية العامة، بناء على توصية لجنة المسائل السياسية الخاصة وإنهاء الاستعمار )اللجنة الرابعة(، النص التالي دون تصويت بوصفه يمثل التوافق في آراء أعضاء الجمعية العامة:

4. The Prosecutor shall be elected by secret ballot by an absolute majority of the members of the Assembly of States Parties.
4 - يُنتخب المدعي العام بالاقتراع السري بالأغلبية المطلقة لأعضاء جمعية الدول الأطراف.

Such amendments shall be adopted by a two-thirds majority of the members of the Assembly of States Parties.
وتُعتمد هذه التعديلات بأغلبية ثلثي أعضاء جمعية الدول الأطراف.

20. The General Committee recommends to the General Assembly that, in accordance with past practice, it waive the requirement that at least one third of the members of the Assembly in the case of plenary meetings and one quarter of the members of a Main Committee in the case of Main Committee meetings be present in order to declare a meeting open and to permit the debate to proceed.
20 - ويوصي المكتب بأن تتجاوز الجمعية العامة، في ضوء الممارسة المتبعة في الدورات الأخيرة، عن شرط حضور ثُلث أعضاء الجمعية العامة على الأقل، في حالة الجلسات العامة، وحضور رُبع أعضاء لجنة رئيسية ما، في حالة اجتماعات اللجان الرئيسية، لإعلان افتتاح جلسة ما والسماح بسير المناقشة.

19. The General Committee recommends to the General Assembly that, in accordance with past practice, it waive the requirement that at least one third of the members of the Assembly in the case of plenary meetings and one quarter of the members of a Main Committee in the case of Main Committee meetings be present in order to declare a meeting open and to permit the debate to proceed.
19 - ويوصي المكتب الجمعية العامة، بأن تتجاوز، تمشيا مع الممارسة المتبعة في الماضي، عن شرط حضور ثُلث أعضاء الجمعية العامة على الأقل، في حالة الجلسات العامة، وحضور رُبع أعضاء لجنة رئيسية ما، في حالة اجتماعات اللجان الرئيسية، لإعلان افتتاح جلسة ما والسماح بسير المناقشة.

486. In accordance with paragraph 7 of General Assembly resolution 60/251, the Human Rights Council consists of 47 Member States, which are elected directly and individually by secret ballot by the majority of the members of the Assembly, the membership to be based on equitable geographical distribution, according to the following pattern:
486 - وفقا للفقرة 7 من قرار الجمعية العامة 60/251، يتألف مجلس حقوق الإنسان من 47 دولة من الدول الأعضاء تنتخبها أغلبية أعضاء الجمعية العامة بالاقتراع السري المباشر وبشكل فردي؛ وتستند عضويته إلى التوزيع الجغرافي العادل وتوزع على النحو التالي:

15 - ويوصي المكتب الجمعية العامة بأن تتجاوز، في ضوء الممارسة المتبعة في الدورات الأخيرة، عن شرط حضور ثُلث أعضاء الجمعية العامة على الأقل، في حالة الجلسات العامة، وحضور رُبع أعضاء لجنة رئيسية ما، في حالة اجتماعات اللجان الرئيسية، لإعلان افتتاح الجلسة والسماح بسير المناقشة.

29. In the absence of consensus, the Prosecutor shall be elected, in accordance with paragraph 4 of article 42 of the Statute, by secret ballot by an absolute majority of the members of the Assembly of States Parties.
29 - في حال عدم حصول توافق في الآراء، يُنتخب المدعي العام، بموجب الفقرة 4 من المادة 42 من النظام الأساسي، بالاقتراع السري بالأغلبية المطلقة لأعضاء جمعية الدول الأطراف.

30. In the absence of consensus, the Prosecutor shall be elected, in accordance with paragraph 4 of article 42 of the Statute, by secret ballot by an absolute majority of the members of the Assembly of States Parties.
30 - في حال عدم حصول توافق في الآراء، يُنتخب المدعي العام، بموجب الفقرة 4 من المادة 42 من النظام الأساسي، بالاقتراع السري بالأغلبية المطلقة لأعضاء جمعية الدول الأطراف.

Such amendments shall enter into force upon adoption by a two-thirds majority of the members of the Assembly of States Parties.
ويبدأ نفاذ التعديلات فور اعتمادها بأغلبية ثلثي أعضاء جمعية الدول الأطراف.

The proposal shall be considered adopted if approved at the meeting by a vote of two-thirds of the members of the Assembly of States Parties and shall enter into force at such time as decided by the Assembly of States Parties.
ويعتبر الاقتراح قد اعتمد إذا ووفق عليه في الاجتماع بأغلبية ثلثي أعضاء جمعية الدول الأطراف، ويدخل حيز النفاذ في الوقت الذي تقرره الجمعية.

The President may declare a meeting open and permit the debate to proceed when at least a majority of the members of the Assembly are present.
للرئيس أن يعلن افتتـاح الجلسة وأن يسمح بسير المناقشـة متى حضرهـا أغلبية من أعضاء الجمعية على اﻷقل.
