Nationality could be lost in three ways: voluntary acquisition of another nationality; authorization, by decree, to give up Algerian nationality; and repudiation of Algerian nationality under article 17 of the Nationality Code.
أما فقدان الجنسية فقد يحدث في ثلاث حالات: اكتساب طوعي لجنسية أخرى والتصريح بواسطة مرسوم بالتنازل عن الجنسية الجزائرية، ورفض الجنسية الجزائرية في إطار المادة ٧١ من قانون الجنسية.

لم تُعدّل المادة 14 من قانون الجنسية بموجب القرار رقم 2005-09/PR المؤرخ 29 آب/أغسطس 2005، وبذلك يحقّ للحكومة معارضة حصول امرأة أجنبية متزوجة من إيفواري على الجنسية الإيفوارية.

354. Article 1 of the Nationality Code stipulates that the law shall determine who has Ivorian nationality at birth, in accordance with the principle of jus sanguinis, or " the right of blood " .
354- بموجب المادة الأولى من قانون الجنسية فإن القانون هو الذي يقرّر من يحقّ له الحصول على الجنسية الإيفوارية عند الولادة. والمبدأ المعمول به هو مبدأ " حقّ الدم " .

Articles 4 and 5 of the Nationality Code of 2004 reinforce the right of Djiboutian women to transfer their nationality to their children.
309- وتعزز المادتان 4 و5 من قانون الجنسية لعام 2004 هذا الحق الذي تتمتع به المرأة في جمهورية جيبوتي المتمثل في نقل الجنسية لأطفالها.

The Committee requests the State party to expedite the adoption of the draft bill amending article 6 of the Nationality Code and to continue harmonizing its Nationality Code with article 9 of the Convention.
59- تطلب اللجنة إلى الدولة الطرف التعجيل باعتماد مشروع القانون المعادل للفصل 6 من قانون الجنسية والمضي في مواءمة قانونها للجنسية مع المادة 9 من الاتفاقية.

279. Contrary to the provisions of article 46 of the Nationality Code, under which a man who has acquired nationality of a foreign country loses his Central African nationality, article 49 grants a woman the right to retain her Central African nationality upon marriage with a foreigner.
279- وعلى عكس أحكام المادة 46 من قانون الجنسية التي تسقط عن الرجل جنسية أفريقيا الوسطى إذا اكتسب جنسية أجنبية، تمنح المادة 49 المرأة الحق في الاحتفاظ بجنسية أفريقيا الوسطى في حالة الزواج بأجنبي.

42. Mrs. HEMICI (Algeria) said that the conditions for acquiring Algerian nationality were set forth in article 10 of the Nationality Code and listed in paragraph 32 of the report.
٢٤- السيدة حميسي )الجزائر(: ذكّرت بشروط اكتساب الجنسية الجزائرية، المحددة في المادة ٠١ من قانون الجنسية والمذكورة في الفقرة ٢٣ من التقرير.

When asked why women were given unequal treatment where the transmission of nationality to alien spouses and to their children was concerned and whether the National Women and Development Commission was taking any steps to remove these differentials, the representative said that the inequality had been softened as a result of the amendment of article 12 of the Nationality Code in July 1993.
٢٣٦- وردا على سؤال عن سبب معاملة المرأة معاملة متفاوتة فيما يتعلق بنقل الجنسية إلى اﻷزواج اﻷجانب وإلى أبنائهن، وعما إذا كانت اللجنة الوطنية للمرأة والتنمية بصدد اتخاذ أي خطوات ﻹزالة هذه التفاوتات، قالت ممثلة تونس إن التفاوت قد خفت حدته نتيجة لتعديل المادة ١٢ من قانون الجنسية في شهر تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٣.

29. The Committee notes with concern that article 4 of the Nationality Code does not comply with article 9 of the Convention because it does not allow a Burundian woman married to a foreigner to transmit her nationality to her husband or children on the same basis as a Burundian man married to a foreigner.
29 - وتلاحظ اللجنة مع القلق أن المادة 4 من قانون الجنسية لا تمتثل للمادة 9 من الاتفاقية، إذ لا تسمح للمرأة البوروندية المتزوجة من أجنبي بإعطائه الجنسية، ولا بإعطاء الجنسية لأطفالها خلافا لما هي الحال بالنسبة للرجل البوروندي المتزوج من أجنبية.

142. The Committee notes with concern that article 4 of the Nationality Code does not comply with article 9 of the Convention because it does not allow a Burundian woman married to a foreigner to transmit her nationality to her husband or children on the same basis as a Burundian man married to a foreigner.
142 - وتلاحظ اللجنة مع القلق أن المادة 4 من قانون الجنسية لا تمتثل للمادة 9 من الاتفاقية، إذ لا تسمح للمرأة البوروندية المتزوجة من أجنبي بإعطائه الجنسية، ولا بإعطاء الجنسية لأطفالها خلافا لما هي الحال بالنسبة للرجل البوروندي المتزوج من أجنبية.

UNHCR recommended that Tunisia consider amending article 16 of the Nationality Code in order to introduce a safeguard against statelessness in case of annulment of marriage.
وأوصت مفوضية شؤون اللاجئين بأن تنظر تونس في تعديل المادة 16 من قانون الجنسية لتضمينه تدابير تحمي الأبناء من انعدام الجنسية في حالة إبطال الزواج(50).

(a) Articles 17, 18 and 32 of the Nationality Code provide for different conditions for women and men as regards the acquisition, transmission and retention of Cameroonian nationality;
(أ) المواد 17 و 18 و 32 من قانون الجنسية تنص على شروط مختلفة للنساء والرجال فيما يتعلق باكتساب الجنسية الكاميرونية ونقلها والاحتفاظ بها؛

Thus, following the amendment to article 12 of the Nationality Code by Decision No. 20055-09/PR of 29 August 2005, the Government's right to lodge an objection does not apply in the case of a foreign man who chooses to acquire Ivorian nationality on marrying an Ivorian woman.
وبناء عليه، وفي أعقاب التعديل الذي أجريَ على المادة 12 من قانون الجنسية بموجب القرار رقم 2005-09/PR المؤرخ 29 آب/أغسطس 2005، فإن حقّ الحكومة في الاعتراض لا ينطبق على الحالة التي يختار فيها رجل أجنبي اكتساب الجنسية الإيفوارية عند زواجه من امرأة إيفوارية.

This consequence of article 20 is reflected in article 21 of the Nationality Code, which provides as follows: “During the period indicated in the preceding article, a woman who has acquired Beninese nationality through marriage cannot vote or stand for election where inclusion in electoral lists or exercise of public duties or mandates are subject to the possession of Beninese nationality”.
وثمة تبرير لمقصد المادة 20 في المادة 21 من قانون الجنسية التي تنص على ما يلي: " في أثناء الفترة المحددة في المدة السابقة، لا يجوز للمرأة التي تحصل على الجنسية البننية عن طريق الزواج أن تقوم بالانتخاب أو أن تكون من المرشحات، عندما يستند التسجيل في قوائم الانتخابات أو الاضطلاع بالاختصاصات والولايات إلى الصفة البننية " .

ويجري الآن بالتدريج اعتماد الأحكام التنظيمية اللازمة لاستخدام وتطبيق مدونة الجنسية بشكل أفضل.
