في قانون العمل القديم، كان ينبغي ألا تتجاوز مدة العمل الفعلية للنساء 8 ساعات في اليوم أو 48 ساعة في الأسبوع، أما المادة 119 من قانون العمل الجديد فتنص على أن مدة الدوام للموظفين أو العمال من أي من الجنسين يجب ألا تتجاوز 45 ساعة في الأسبوع وتسع ساعات في اليوم.

The Paternity Leave is enshrined, with some amendments, in the Article 36 of the new Labour Code.

The amended parental leave is enshrined in the article 43 of the new Labour Code:

40. In 2011, the ILO Committee of Experts recalled that article 61 of the Constitution provided for the principle of equal remuneration for equal work and that section 16 of the new Labour Code provided that all workers had the right to fair remuneration according to the nature, quantity and quality of work.
