2. The Fifth Committee considered the note by the Secretary-General on reform of the procedure for determining reimbursement to Member States for contingent-owned equipment (A/55/650) at its 37th meeting, on 12 December 2000.
2 - ونظرت اللجنة الخامسة في مذكرة الأمين العام بشأن إصلاح إجراءات تحديد المبالغ التي تسدد للدول الأعضاء نظير المعدات المملوكة للوحدات (A/55/650) في جلستها 37، المعقودة في 12 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2000.

In his report of 8 December 1995 (A/50/807) on the reform of the procedure for determining reimbursement to Member States for contingent-owned equipment, the Secretary-General states in the summary that “acceptance by the General Assembly of these concepts should not result in additional costs to peacekeeping mission budgets.

The report of the Secretary-General on the reform of the procedure for determining reimbursement to Member States for contingent-owned equipment (A/56/639) identified four areas where further improvement was desirable: memorandums of understanding; pre-deployment visits; verification of contingent-owned equipment; and claims processing.
18- وقال إن تقرير الأمين العام عن تحسين إجراءات تحديد المبالغ التي تسدد إلى الدول الأعضاء مقابل المعدات المملوكة للوحدات (A/56/939) عيَّن أربعة مجالات يُستصوَب إدخال تحسينات عليها، وهي: مذكرات التفاهم، والزيارات السابقة للانتشار، والتحقق والمراقبة، وتجهيز المطالبات.

The General Assembly, in its resolution 49/233 of 23 December 1994, authorized the Secretary-General to proceed with a reform of the procedure for determining reimbursements to Member States for contingent-owned equipment provided to peace-keeping missions, and invited him to examine alternatives similar to the established procedures for compensation to Member States for military contingent personnel.
أذنت الجمعية العامة لﻷمين العام، في قرارها ٤٩/٢٣٣ المؤرخ ٢٣ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٤، بالبدء في تحسين إجراءات تحديد المبالغ التي تسدد إلى الدول اﻷعضاء نظير المعدات المملوكة للوحدات والمقدمة إلى بعثات حفظ السلام، ودعته الى أن ينظر في بدائل مماثلة لﻹجراءات القائمة لتعويض الدول اﻷعضاء عن اشتراك موظفي الوحدات العسكرية.
