A law that allows consideration of a complaint against a judge by that very judge is contrary to common sense and to article 59, part 3, of the same Code.

Article 529 of the same Code states that the penalty for deliberately inducing an abortion is a minimum of five years of hard labour.
وتشير المادة 529 من القانون نفسه إلى أن عقوبة التسبب عن قصد بالإجهاض هي الأشغال الشاقة خمس سنوات على الأقل.

Chapter 54.1 of the same Code regulates legal assistance in criminal matters in the absence of international treaties.
80- وينظم الفصل 54-1 من القانون نفسه المساعدة القانونية في الدعاوى الجنائية في غياب المعاهدات الدولية.

Trafficking of arms is also prohibited under article 475 of the same Code.
كما تجرم المادة 475 من القانون ذاته الاتجار بالأسلحة.

Article 59 of the same Code provides that when a woman sentenced to death is pregnant and delivers a live newborn, the death sentence shall be commuted to a life sentence.
كما نصت المادة 59 من ذات القانون على أنه إذا ثبت أن المرأة المحكوم عليها بالإعدام حامل، ووضعت جنينها حياً، أبدل الحبس المؤبد بالإعدام.

Article 37 of the same Code provides that a civil suit may be brought before an investigating judge or the competent court at the same time when a public case is being heard under article 7 of the Code.
ويوضّح الفصل 37 من نفس المجلة أن الدعوى الخاصة المقام بها في نفس الوقت مع الدعوى العمومية عملاً بالفصل 7 من المجلة يمكن القيام بها إما أمام قاض التحقيق أو أمام المحكمة المتعهدة بالقضية.

Article 216 of the same Code illustrates the methods of forgery that are penalized by the Code as follows:
وموضحا في المادة 216 من نفس القانون طرق التزوير التي يعاقب عليها القانون وهي كما يلي:

Article 191 of the same Code provided a similar penalty for any attack on or disruption of the practice of any religion. Libyan law required respect for all religions and made it punishable to publish any distortion or misinterpretation of the holy texts of any religion.
وتنص المادة ١٩١ من نفس القانون على فرض عقوبة مماثلة على التهجم على أي دين أو تعطيل ممارسته، ويقضي القانون الليبي باحترام جميع اﻷديان ويعاقب كل ما ينشر لتشويه أو تحريف النصوص المقدسة في أي دين.

(f) Invoked articles 291 and 308 of the same Code, which provide protection against attacks on the liberty and security of persons;

His arrest under article 122 of the Criminal Procedure Code and subsequent placement in custody under article 90 of the same Code were lawful.
وكان توقيفه بموجب المادة 122 من قانون الإجراءات الجنائية ووضعه قيد الاحتجاز لاحقاً بمقتضى المادة 90 من نفس القانون شرعيَّين.

Under article 318 of the same Code, any one who, having been ordered to hand over a child under his guardianship to the person to whom the child's custody or safe keeping has been awarded, fails to do so is liable to a penalty of detention and/or a fine.
كما نصت المادة 318 من نفس القانون على انه يعاقب بالحبس أو الغرامة أو بالعقوبتين معاً من امتنع عن تسليم الصغير الذي يتكفل به الى من حكم له بحضانته أو حفظه بعد طلبه منه.

266. Article 463 of the same Code prescribes a penalty of detention for a term of one month to one year for:
266- ويعاقب بالحبس من شهر إلى سنة حسب المادة 463 من نفس القانون:

Article 140 of the same Code prescribes two to five years of imprisonment for the exploitation of or prostitution of minors and a fine of US$ 100 to US$ 10,000.
وتنص المادة ٠٤١ من القانون نفسه على السجن لمدة تتراوح بين سنتين و٥ سنوات لاستغلال القصﱠر أو لدفعهم إلى ممارسة البغاء، كما تفرض غرامة تتراوح بين ٠٠١ و٠٠٠ ٠١ من دولارات الولايات المتحدة.

The article 21 of the same Code states that : " Marriage is based on the equality and reciprocity of the spouses' rights and duties.
وتنص المادة 21 من القانون نفسه على أن: " الزواج يقوم على المساواة والمعاملة بالمثل في حقوق الزوجين وواجباتهما. "

62. The prerequisites for preventive detention are specified in article 242 of the same Code.
62- والشروط الأساسية للاحتجاز الوقائي محددة في المادة 242 من القانون نفسه.

Articles 138 and 140 of the Code of Penal Procedure allow the accused to be given a hearing and to express directly and personally his position with regard to the facts, and article 332 of the same Code requires the accused to be present in court.
فالمادتان 138 و140 من قانون الإجراءات الجنائية تجيزان للمتهم أن يدلي بشهادته وأن يعرض شخصياً وبشكل مباشر موقفه من الوقائع، بينما تشترط المادة 332 من القانون ذاته حضور المتهم أمام المحكمة.

On this basis, the court applied article 72 (2) of the same Code, requiring it to apply only one sentence - the highest among the sentences handed down under individual articles - as a cumulative sentence.
وعلى هذا الأساس، طبقت المحكمة المادة 72(2) من القانون ذاته()، التي تقضي بتطبيق حكم واحد وهو أشد الأحكام الصادرة بحق صاحب البلاغ بموجب كل مادة على حدة - بوصفه يمثل مجموع الأحكام.

264. In articles 125 and 126 of the same Code it is laid down that all adolescents have the right to perform work that does not jeopardize their physical, mental or moral health, to labour protection, to comprehensive training and to vocational training.
264 - وتنص المادتان 125 و 126 من القانون ذاته على حق أي مراهق في مزاولة عمل لا يؤثر على صحته البدنية أو العقلية أو النفسية، وفي الحماية في العمل، وفي الإعداد المتكامل والتدريب المهني.

32. Article 126 of the same Code stipulates that: " Temporary release may be authorized in cases other than those in which the furnishing of bail is mandatory.
٢٣- وقد نصت المادة ٦٢١ من ذات القانون " يجوز تعليق اﻹفراج المؤقت في غير اﻷحوال التي يكون فيها واجباً حتماً تقديم كفالة.

Article 50 of the same Code defines coercion as forcing a person to perform an act against his will, while article 51 states that coercion leading to physical or mental trauma, or fear of being subjected to bodily harm, violation of the honour of the family or denial of access to funds, all of which run contrary to the principle of accord.
ويشير الفصل 50 من نفس المجلة أن الإكراه هو إجبار أحد بغير حق على أن يعمل عملاً لم يرتضه كما ينص الفصل 51 من نفس المجلة أن الإكراه الذي يمكن أن يولد إما بدنياً أو اضطراباً نفسياً عميقاً أو الخوف من تعرض البدن أو العرض أو المال إلى الضرر هو من الأسباب المعيبة للرضا.

Article 428 of the same Code provides as follows: The travel ban shall remain in force until the extinction of the debtor's liability towards the creditor who applied for its issuance. The court shall order the lifting thereof in the following cases:
