The General Assembly further requested the Secretary-General to submit proposals on how the distinct programme and coordination capability of the secretariat of the Decade might be enhanced so as to enable it to effectively coordinate the activities of the Decade and promote the integration of natural disaster reduction into the sustainable development process.
