I have the honour to transmit herewith a statement dated 15 March 1995 of the head of State of the Republic of Georgia, H.E. Mr. Eduard Shevardnadze, regarding the escalation of the situation in Abkhazia, Republic of Georgia.

12. Requests the Secretary-General to report every three months from the date of the adoption of this resolution on all aspects of the situation in Abkhazia, Republic of Georgia, including the operations of UNOMIG, and decides to undertake, on the basis of those reports, further reviews of the situation;
١٢ - يطلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم، كل ثلاثة أشهر ابتداء من تاريخ اعتماد هذا القرار تقريرا عن جميع جوانب الحالة في أبخازيا بجمهورية جورجيا، بما في ذلك عمليات بعثة مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في جورجيا، ويقرر القيام، على أساس تلك التقارير، باستعراضات أخرى للحالة؛

57. UNOMIG, through its monitoring presence on the ground and its sustained efforts within the peace process, continues to play an essential role in the stabilization of the situation in Abkhazia, Georgia, and in the search for a peaceful solution to the conflict.

54. On 12 January 1995, the Security Council adopted resolution 971 (1995), in paragraph 3 of which it requested the Secretary-General to report within two months on all aspects of the situation in Abkhazia.
٥٤ - وفي ١٢ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٥، أصدر مجلس اﻷمن القرار ٩٧١ )١٩٩٥(، الذي طلب في الفقرة ٣ منه الى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم اليه، في غضون شهرين، تقريرا عن جميع جوانب الحالة في أبخازيا.

In that statement, the Security Council expressed its grave preoccupation regarding the further deterioration of the situation in Abkhazia and called on all parties immediately to cease the fighting and to observe and implement faithfully the terms of the Moscow agreement of 3 September 1992 (S/24523).
لقد أعرب مجلس اﻷمن في هذا البيان عن قلقه الشديد إزاء تزايد تدهور الحالة في أبخازيا وطلب الى جميع اﻷطراف وقف القتال فورا والتقيد بأحكام اتفاق موسكو المؤرخ ٣ أيلول/سبتمبر ١٩٩٢ وتنفيذها بدقة (S/24523).

98. In its written and oral representations, Georgia referred to the continuing economic and social impact of the situation in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, including refugees and displaced persons from conflict zones in the Abkhaz and Ossetian regions.

By its resolution 993 (1995) of 12 May 1995, the Security Council asked me to report every three months from the date of the adoption of that resolution on all aspects of the situation in Abkhazia, Republic of Georgia, including the operations of the United Nations Observer Mission in Georgia (UNOMIG).

The present report is submitted pursuant to paragraph 12 of resolution 993 (1995) of 12 May 1995, in which the Security Council asked me to report every three months from the date of the adoption of the resolution on all aspects of the situation in Abkhazia, Republic of Georgia, including the operations of the United Nations Observer Mission in Georgia (UNOMIG).
١ - يقدم هذا التقرير عملا بالفقرة ١٢ من القرار ٩٩٣ )١٩٩٥( المؤرخ ١٢ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٥، الذي طلب فيه مجلس اﻷمن إلي أن أقدم، كل ثلاثة أشهر، ابتداء من تاريخ اعتماد ذلك القرار، تقريرا عن جميع جوانب الحالة في أبخازيا بجمهورية جورجيا، بما فيها عمليات بعثة مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في جورجيا.

By the same resolution, the Council requested me " to report every three months from the date of adoption of [resolution 993 (1995)] on all aspects of the situation in Abkhazia, Republic of Georgia, including the operations of UNOMIG " , and decided " to undertake, on the basis of these reports, further reviews of the situation " .
