وفي هذا السياق، أود أن أقتبس من البيان الذي أدلى به رئيس وزرائنا أمام هذه الجمعية بمناسبة الاجتماع التذكاري الخاص للاحتفال بالذكرى السنوية الخمسين ﻹنشاء اﻷمم المتحدة، حيث قال:

As we prepare for this historic event, I should like again to impress upon delegations that their cooperation in observing rigorously the five-minute limit for each statement is indispensable for the timely and smooth conduct of the Special Commemorative Meeting.
