Retirement under article 28 of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund Regulations shall not be regarded as a termination within the meaning of the Staff Regulations and Staff Rules.

(b) For the purpose of the Staff Regulations and Staff Rules:

(i) Codification of the administrative law on the United Nations, through periodic amendments and revisions of the Staff Regulations and Staff Rules and revisions to the Personnel Manual;
`١` تدوين القانون اﻹداري لﻷمم المتحدة، عن طريق إجراء تعديلات، وتنقيحات دورية للنظامين اﻷساسي واﻹداري للموظفين وتنقيح دليل الموظفين؛

(vi) Monitoring of the implementation of the Staff Regulations and Staff Rules and personnel policies by departments and offices at Headquarters and offices away from Headquarters to which appropriate delegation of authority on personnel matters was given;
`٦` رصد تنفيذ النظامين اﻷساسي واﻹداري للموظفين وسياسات شؤون الموظفين من قبل اﻹدارات والمكاتب بالمقر وخارجه التي خولت تفويضا مناسبا في السلطة المتعلقة بمسائل الموظفين؛

(ii) Provision of support and advice to programme managers on issues related to implementation of the Staff Regulations and Staff Rules and personnel policies; and taking of corrective action where necessary;
' ٢` تقديم الدعم وإسداء المشورة لمديري البرامج في القضايا المتعلقة بتنفيذ النظامين اﻷساسي واﻹداري للموظفين وسياسات شؤون الموظفين؛ واتخاذ اﻹجراءات التصحيحية عندما تستدعي الضرورة ذلك؛

a. Monitoring the consistency of the application of the Staff Regulations and Staff Rules and administrative instructions in individual cases;
أ - رصد مدى الاتساق في تطبيق النظامين اﻷساسي واﻹداري للموظفين والتعميمات اﻹدارية على الحالات الفردية؛

(ii) Provision of support and advice to programme managers on issues related to implementation of the Staff Regulations and Staff Rules and personnel policies; and taking of corrective action where necessary;
' ٢ ' تقديم الدعم وإسداء المشورة لمديري البرامج في القضايا المتعلقة بتنفيذ النظامين اﻷساسي واﻹداري للموظفين وسياسات شؤون الموظفين؛ واتخاذ اﻹجراءات التصحيحية عندما تستدعي الضرورة ذلك؛

a. Codification of the administrative law of the United Nations through periodic amendments to and revisions of the Staff Regulations and Staff Rules and revisions to the Personnel Manual;
أ - تدوين القانون اﻹداري لﻷمم المتحدة، من خلال إجراء تعديلات وتنقيحات دورية للنظامين اﻷساسي واﻹداري للموظفين وتنقيح دليل الموظفين؛

It shall expire automatically and without prior notice on the expiration date specified in the letter of appointment. [(b)] Separation as a result of the expiration of a fixed term appointment shall not be regarded as a termination within the meaning of the Staff Regulations and Staff Rules.
وينقضي تلقائياً ودون سابق إنذار في تاريخ الانتهاء المحدّد في كتاب التعيين. [(ب)] لا يعد ترك الوظيفة نتيجة لانتهاء فترة التعيين المحدّد المدة إنهاءً للخدمة بالمعنى المقصود في النظام الأساسي والنظام الإداري للموظفين.

Such attendance is not considered receipt of a favour, gift or remuneration within the meaning of the Staff Regulations and Staff Rules.
